I subscribe to Beaux Arts Magazine. I noticed a  year’s worth of copies lying vertically on their long sides in my magazine rack, with their colorful spines on top. I love the way the cumulative weight of the magazines creates irregular, graceful curves when viewed from the side. For this scarf I imagined the sharp contrast between the softer, more neutral tones of the magazine pages and the bright colors of the spines, as they intertwine, wrapping around a neck and shoulders.
